CaitlinSpecial Needs Law Group of Massachusetts’ own Caitlin Butkus was featured in the MetroWest Daily News on March 5, 2018.

Caitlin is a young woman with autism and a paid intern at Special Needs Law Group. She is a student at Crossroads School, which relocated last year from Natick to Marlborough. Although Special Needs Law Group has many ties to Crossroads, Caitlin came to us as a referral from the Paralegal Assistant Training Program (PLAT) at the Autism Higher Education Foundation, so a big shout-out to both Crossroads and AHEF!

Caitlin’s been with us for over a year now, and takes care of a lot of alphabetizing, filing, scanning, shredding, and data entry for us a half day per week through Crossroads’ Vocational Program. This really helps free up staff for other specialized work, making our firm more efficient. And Caitlin tells us that she has learned to be a more independent thinker in her time with us.

But maybe our favorite thing about Caitlin is reflected in the award she received last year at Special Needs Law Group’s annual Staff Appreciation Dinner at the 110 Grill in Wayland: The Best Smile Award! Congratulations on the newspaper feature, Caitlin!
